I have lived in Leicester all my life and have been playing the trombone and piano since the age of 7. Through playing these instruments, I have been in a large number of groups and bands playing music ranging from classical, to jazz, to R&B, to pop.

I started writing music at the age of 14 and started to sing R&B with 3 friends in secondary school. At the time I started listening to Boyz II Men, Blackstreet, Portrait, Joe and Jodeci to name a few. Intially I wrote classical music, slowly progressing into writing more mainstream sounds around the year 2000, whilst at the same time continuing to sing R&B music.

In 2000, I started writing garage music, getting props from one of my heros, MJ Cole and undergoing talks with Relentless records. I performed on a local level, both joining and performing with a gospel choir to improve my vocal versatility and to allow me to improve to a professional standard to perform my own songs. During this time my songs were played in local night clubs and on local radio.

In 2003, I joined a band by the name of El Pussycat Ska. Performing with them has alllowed me to become ever proficient on the trombone. As a result of joining this band, I have undertaken a lot of session work, predominantly jazz and ska inprovisation, and I have played with a lot of the big-named ska artists from back in the day, namely Prince Buster, Derek Morgan, Alton Ellis and Jerry Dammers from the Specials to name a few. My musicial endeavours have taken me all over the world and I have enjoyed every minute of it!

For the last couple of years I have been working on a project very close to my heart. I have fused the funk, folk and soul of the 70's with mainstrem pop of the 80's and have sprinkled a subtle flavour of laid back trad jazz on top, making my sound an original, modern-day, mainstream style that I call New Retro and 'My Obsession'.

This is my true love in life and something I will do now until I physically can't anymore. I hope you enjoy my sounds and love my video.
