JAXONVILLE is an exciting, fresh, young, talented Twin Sister, Country/Pop/ Duo from Australia. Jaxonville consists of a unique talented, award winning young singers/songwriters Rachael & Rebecca Jackson who play Guitar & Fiddle with their strong vocals, sibling harmonies which are taken to new heights with there take on the country music genre. Jaxonville are going from strength to strength with their TIARA Award win for Best Duo in Australian Country Music. They have been successful with their “Summer Tour” nationally and internationally across the globe. Music and performing has always been considered their destiny and it seems like forever that the girls have been writing songs and performing together. They are well accomplished songwriters in their own right and have performed their own songs at many established venues and Festivals over the past number of years naming very well known annual “The Lord Mayors Golden Casket-Channel 7 Xmas Carols” at the River Stage, Brisbane in December 2005 which was televised Queensland wide as well as to an audience of 50,000 a very memorable moment for them at the time. In 2005 Jaxonville were recognised for their ability while busking and performing in Tamworth and were invited to perform their original songs on the ABC Trailer in Bi-Centennial Park Tamworth and were the only new unknown,young act invited for a direct to radio interview and live performance to be broadcasted direct to air on ABC/New England alongside many well known Major signed Artists and Bands but they held their own and performed like professionals creating their own fan base to follow. Jaxonville have also made many appearances and performances: Caboolture QUT Urban Country Music Festival 2007, 2008, Gympie Music Muster2007,2008 Tamworth Country Music Festival 2007,2008, 2009, Mud Bulls & Music2007, 2008 and in the USA 2008. They have released songs from their latest CD receiving an extensive amount of airplay and support from the Country Music Radio In Australia. Jaxonville were nominated Top 4 finalists in the Annual Q Song Music Awards and the Annual Music Oz awards held in Sydney's Enmore Theatre for Country and Pop sections, finalists at The 16th Annual American Independent L.A Music Awards held at Kodak Theatre USA, Nescafe Big Break semi-finalist. This exciting vibrant duo has the unique ability to engage the audience with their performances far surpassing other artists who are more widely known. They have been described as not only singers/instrumentalists but also entertainers “Capital News”-country music magazine.In these years they performed at all the largest country music festivals in Australia continuing into mid 2008 as well as writing new material. In Early 2008 they made the decision to travel to the USA and divide there time between living in Brisbane & Nashville to further their writing skills with other artists/songwriters they found it such a benefit they decided to return and continue to write & record.
