DESCRIPTION:
The Making Music series came to a close in Spring 2009 with another special event held at the Walker Art Center featuring jazz impresario Jason Moran. In addition to discussing his career as a critically-acclaimed pianist and composer, Moran gave insights into his multimedia piece, "In My Mind: Monk at Town Hall," based off of the celebrated town hall concert in 1959 by Thelonius Monk.
