I've been singing most of my life and playing the violin since I was four years old. I come from a very musical family. (Daughter of Laurie and Ray, sister of Steve and middle sister to Alexis and Annie. My family can't even sing Happy Birthday together without bursting into 3 part harmony!) I left school and decided to do the sensible thing so I went to University in Leicester, England and got a degree in French. as soon as I finished it I taught myself to play the piano, started writing songs and hooked up with the lovely Ian Crabtree, a Leicester based guitar player. Through Ian I met some folks who I later went on to write and do recordings for artists like Ross Hillard aka Magic Number , Atjazz, Slope, Deyampert,Clyde,Oli Silk,Alex Wilson .

My musical aspiration has always been a simple one. I would like to sing for as many pairs of ears as possible. Having gigged across the UK, Germany, Holland and Poland (including supporting Roy Ayers @ The Arches in Glasgow), and having had most of my tracks played on BBC Radio 1 (Gilles Peterson, Pete Tong, Benji B, The Dream Team, Roger Sanchez)the numbers must be in the millions by now which just blows my mind.

So, things to look out for :- Andre Zimma (Swedish Brandy) "The CALM" is out now on vinyl featuring Terry Lovique, Thief and you can find me on "Take It N Make It". I'm also reliably informed that the Andre Zimma album is ready to be shared and can be downloaded at Amazon.com. "Hurray". Clyde (Mantis) is just about ready to unleash his beast of a debut album.check out his Myspace for a taster and make sure you have sturdy speakers! (There's a link to Clyde in my Top Friends).I'm also in the very early stages of a collaboration with Theo Parrish.it's early days but I have a very good feeling about the results. You can be sure I will keep you posted. :-).And I must find the time somehow to record my own album.

Sadly, I no longer work in Alloa, Stirlingshire as an Autism Practioner for the Scottish Society for Autism (www.autism-in-scotland.org.uk). It was a very rewarding challenge but unfortunately I needed to secure a full time contract so I had to put on the waterproof mascara and say my goodbyes. I then went to work for The Action Group (www.actiongroup.org.uk) as an Employment Support Worker helping teenagers with disabilities when they leave school and thoroughly enjoyed it. These days I am teaching violin and vocal coaching as well as playing withe the Stirling orchestra. I am also currently co-directing the Heart of Scotland Choir with my sister Annie. (www.youtube.com/heartofscotlandchoir) which is absolutely brilliant! So, if you contact me and it takes a while for me to get back to you then I am probably working and ask that you bare with me. Thanks!
