Jam

Jam is, Jam represents the inner thoughts, feelings and emotions of a 19-year-old boy growing up in the outer London area. As a child intrigued with electrical gadgetry, music and computers was a natural progression, starting on Music 2000 on the on playstation one, he began to learn what it meant to create music. Influenced by the sounds of early UK garage/grime, rap, hip-hop, pop and especially Motown and soul music, he began to write his first lyrics. Often mindless, violent raps would end him in battles and trouble however his love for rap did not waver. Initially as grime mc he would follow the footsteps of elder mc’s rapping quick-witted fast paced rhymes about object of desire and materialistic attractions.

It was not until 16 that he realized music was more than just an accessory to the lifestyle, a way to look cool but a method of releasing anxieties, joys and more over emotion.



With this newfound meaning he went on to compose, write and produce the majority of what could be called his first real album, entitled “What’s Going On”, the album was a 17 year olds perspective of the small part of the world he was surrounded by, it dealt with how he felt his surroundings and community were being destroyed. The album was only sold to friends and people in his college however marked a huge step in the Artists long road in the so called ‘music game’. Given the belief he could make a full album he went on to create his 2nd album entitled “My Life Trough My Music” an album in which Jam really flowed elements of his own emotional states through his music, tracks such ‘All I Want Is You’ and ‘I gotta Let Her Go’ depict the up’s and down’s of young love and romance, whereas songs such ‘I Still Got The Fire In My Veins’ show an individual who has the strength and resilience to bounce back in the face of adversity.



Jam wishes to show through his music that with a strong mind no man or woman is bound to his surroundings or bound to become a product of his environment. Through his music he wishes to show that you do not have to be a gangster to be a rapper and that rappers can be role models and more over rappers can be soulful. With influences from all over the musical spectrum from Aretha franklin's soulful R&B to Lupe Fiasco’s deep conscious rap he created a sound unique to him and what he feels is REAL. And now at 19 years of age this unique Producer, Programmer, Rapper, Engineer and Artist is ready to grace to world with what feels to him to be his debut album entitled…
