Jam Masters was founded in 2006 and is the brainchild of DJ D1. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, D1 has been fortunate enough to experience first hand the power of Caribbean music at an early age. After seeing his uncle operate two technics turntables, dj-ing immediately became an obsession and D1 has been doing it ever since. Living in America broadened D1's musical horizons and it was here music production first caught D1's interest. D1 has managed in a fairly short time to jam with the best dj's and artists, played the hottest clubs, and rocked the toughest crowds. Now performing is like second nature for this "trini-boy" and something many who have seen him at work can testify to. The Jam Masters music style includes a huge mix of soca, reggae, dancehall, rnb, hip hop, latin and other shake your ass music styles we like to call "funky urban." However, when it comes to soca D1 is undoubtedly THE WICKEDEST SOCA DJ IN HOLLAND! D1 has a love for all types of music but sees himself as an ambassador for taking caribbean music, especially soca, to a main stream level! Soca and caribbean music is undeniable! The sexy rhythmns, enchanting beats and mind blowing energy are aspects of the music which are unfamiliar territory to many people, and so D1 is on a mission to change this! For the past two years, D1 has been involved in all the major carnival parades across europe. Berlin, Rotterdam and Notting Hill celebrations have been growing bigger and bigger each year and this year we are planning to continue in this trend. In his hometown Groningen, D1 is the head resident dj and controller at club Rumba which is hands down the hottest latin/urban/caribbean spot in the north of Holland. And as most people already know, D1 is also the main dj/selector for the number one reggae/dancehall sound system in Holland, the BIG BAD HERBALIZE-IT SOUND SYSTEM. D1 is now one of the few urban dj's based in Holland, performing internationally on a regular basis, spreading his musical message with the world. The future of Jam Masters is to become a well respected production camp making crazy hype beats, expanding into artist management and our very own Record Label (Kadelick Music). On the moral front, we have recently started a campaign called "Love I Promote" to help orphan children in the Carribbean and Africa by hosting events to raise awareness and gather aid for improving the quality of life for these unfortunate children.
