DJ James Anthony

James Anthony has been DJ’ing forever- and he’s got the pictures to prove it! This dynamic, internationally booked performer has shown a tremendous affinity for music from an extremely young age, and has spent a better part of his life bringing it to the masses. James got his first big break working in radio- at the legendary dance station WKTU in New York City. Within weeks of being hired, at the young age of 21, he accomplished what some have spent years attempting- he secured his own weekly mix show, a show that would go on to establish James’ name in the New York market to millions of dance music fans.



In 2008, James joined the staff at Pulse 87- NY’s Dance Music Leader. Program Director Joel Salkowitz chose James to program the daily “Free Ride @ 5” mixshow, based on his extensive knowledge of dance music and his innovative programming skills. In a short time, the “Free Ride @ 5” became a widely popular and highly rated mixshow.



To date, James maintains an average daily listening audience of nearly 800,000 fans. He has established a rapport with promoters and club owners eager to advertise their events on his radio show, frequently tied in to successful club appearances with James as the headlining DJ.



Praised by clubgoes, promoters, club managers and his music industry peers, James has shown a tremendous amount of versatility in the DJ booth and is quickly becoming one of the most sought after DJ’s in the Tri-State area. He headlines nightclub events nearly every weekend throughout the NY/NJ area.



In addition to his Tri-state appearances, James maintains a busy calendar of national and international bookings. He has headlined high profile events in DJ in Sao Paulo’s “Jungle Party”, Belo Horizonte’s “Gods Party” and is a frequent guest DJ in Rio De Janeiro’s Leboy. He recently headlined the Karmabeat/Switch New Year’s Eve party in Mexico City. In the US- he has made multiple appearances appearances in Miami (Twist), Philadelphia (Pure), Las Vegas (Gypsy), Boston (Epic @ Roxy) and Atlanta (Body Shop Afterhours).
