Artist/Lyricist
Born on the Missouri side of Kansas City this performer / songwriter and up-coming producer is ready to bring her organic sexy funk to the world. Jadamour came by her musical talents naturally. Her mother, a native Kansas City musician, performed saxophone and her father was a locally known trumpet player and cousin to the famed old school group 'Bloodstone' who had the classic hit 'Natural High'. Jadamour came up spending countless hours singing, experimenting with flute and violin in school, and was trained in all forms of dance. Where she performed at talent shows and recitals.
Now an accomplished recording artist, Jadamour credits the music and culture of R&B for her development as a songwriter and producer. "I love music and where it takes me. In the beginning I would write poem after poem hoping to one day make a connection with it and music. Writing taught me to create stories of my feelings which eventually developed into full blown songs. Now when the music plays its almost like I hear voices in it. I write as I hear it and where the feelings take me."
Jadamour refers to her biggest influences, 'I lived in the Midwest growing up. So, I grew up listening to 'real' blues music, R&B soul. My father always played Marvin Gaye, the Isley Brothers, Commodores and O' jays. But, I also had the influence of my mother who listened to Barry Manilo,Billy Joel, and artists like the Carpenters. Real artists with real lyrics everyone could feel and relate to. Once I got a little older I was drawn to the more free spirited artists 'Sade, Donny Hathaway,Diana Ross,Lionel Richie'. Who paved the way for a more liberated expression of love. So I couldn't help but identify with the sultriness of Aaliyah,Janet, and R-Kelly and many other artists. Which sculpted me to be the artist/lyricist I am today. I want to create a musical atmosphere that seduces and provokes the mind, body, and spirit. That's why I write songs from real life experiences. I believe in music and the power it has to inspire people. Writing has brought that into my life. That's my passion.'
Jadamour has worked with a wide range of producers to create just that for her upcoming solo debut. G-one, known for his hits with platinum recording artists and producers (R-Kelly-- Home alone feat: Keith Murray), rap legend DJ Quik, Raphael Saddiq and Will Smith plus work with new artist 'Dwele').
Steve 'funk worm' Butler, known for his work with Chicago group 'P-1'.
Bosko Kante, well known for his re mixes and original tracks for E-40, Limpbizkit, BoneThugs, Too Short, Tyrese and Kanye West. As well as 'The Characters' known for Tyrese's "Sweet Lady", Goodie Mob, Claudette from City high and Laryen Hills upcoming album. She is also soon to be working with Stella award winning Gospel and R&B producer Derek "DOA" Allen, known for his work with Smokie Norful, Tyrese, Adina Howard, Bobby Brown, and Wayman Tisdale.
Jadamour has traveled the world living in South Africa, was seen on the TV sitcom FAME and many other TV shows and movies, grew up around the famed 'Jackson' family household watching Janet's career blossom personally from the beginning, and even worked as a production coordinator at a talent agency in Los Angeles. She has been there and done that as they say.
But to add to her credit Jadamour has placed her first song in the HBO movie 'The Gristle' and most recently had one of her first performances at the 'BILLBOARD R&B HIP HOP Conference & Awards'. Performed in Harlem opening for one of the original Hiphop OG's Kurtis Blow 'who says she has perfect pitch and is a beautiful singer'.
She is truly having a lot of firsts thus proving the wheel is spinning in the direction of her mission. Which is to touch the hearts of the world with her artistry. Original, trend setting, and ahead of the current times. She has created a sound of her own with a funky seductive twist. Her most recent work of art 'Freaky' which she joined with South African platinum recording artist HHP(double H P) is truly ground breaking. She even touches on finding her soul mate in the melodic song 'breezy'. With song titles like 'A Change, 'IntoXXicating' & Turn Me Out'. She is sure to inspire our thinking to higher levels. Wise beyond her years, oozing with sensuality and an alluring presence. You can't help but want to feel her.
