Jacky J. Jasper was born in Hollywood California.
Jacky never attended public school; he chose to remain un-programmed by the public education machine and was home schooled.
At 16 his parents got divorced and at 17 Jacky went to Canada with his moms and decided to do his last year of highschool in at a public joint – why? “…that’s where all the chicks were mane.”
During his last year of school Jacky quickly figured out how easy it was to get girls to buy his lunch. After graduating Jacky had a short run at a 9-5 but it was hard to balance these hours with his afternoon nap so he thought back to highschool and figured he could get some new more professional girls to find “lunchmoney” once again.
“Lunch money” quickly turned to fur coats, jewelry, and narcotics. Then it turned into Jacky’s first record, “Narcissism”.
At 21 he recorded Dr. Doom with Kool Keith toured the globe with Ice-T and Foxy Brown. After returning home he wrote and released Keep My Shit Clean. The album charted in all markets and made the Billboard Top 15 with no promotion. Jacky owned all proceeds so Jacky got paid! He then took a hiatus to learn the business side of the music industry . After some white collar office work he got bored and went to Europe and studied fashion.
He started making his own clothes and then for a few other musicians including Ike Turner and Rick James. After becoming friends, Ike convinced Jacky to get back into the recording game and he became a student to the legendary blues man IKE TURNER himself. While studying the blues he released simultaneous albums, Day Of The Jackal and Trans Euro Xpress.
After winning his first Grammy with Ike Turner for Blues Album Of The Year Jacky began work on his next record. His last release 7th Veil came with an all-star cast. Recorded 5yrs ago with the last recordings of the Punk Funk legend RICK JAMES, the last recordings of his blues mentor Ike Turner, as well as tracks featuring Snoop Dog, Jewel, Kurupt, Roscoe, Kool Keith, Ice-T, Coco, Silk Tha Shocker, and Flava Flav. It’s truly a classical piece of work. 7th Veil album titled Stoned was released in late October 2008.
Jacky knew his next recording could not be the traditional hip hop sound. He didn’t rush to get back into the studio and went back to the years of listening to every genre he could get his hands on and studied where everyone was coming from.
Jacky was armed with a new appreciation for music but by the time he was ready for the studio again, Hip Hop had died! Jacky saw that the whole game was about to change so he beat ‘em to the chase.
He turned to internet and pimped New Media like the thousands of girls he sent to the silver screen. He launched “DiaryofaHollywoodStreetKing.com and created a platform to preach his unique view of the world and connect directly with the people on the streets. Instead of using this outlet to create only his own success he teamed up with a bunch of industry “super-heroes” to bring much needed resources and information back to the street. Jacky serves up daily industry news, exclusive interviews, and reviews everything from new albums to Criagslist girls! Need legal help? Jacky is quiclkly becoming an Online Hip Hop Guru!
WIth a film and a successful website Jacky could have spent this summer on vacation – but chose to go straight into the studio to record his latest album. This record will be the most unique and diverse album of his recording career, tentatively titled “Jacky’s Dead” which features Jacky with a full rock band, a line of female backup singers, and a huge stage show. He calls it “Hood Rock”. It’s airy with low end theory, loud guitars, dark sketchy lyrics, and melodic hooks.
Also look-out for Jacky’s film the King Of Hollywood. Currently in post-production Jacky and his management team at A-One Entertainment have put together an all-star film with director Bruce Allen Greene and starring Glenn Plummer, Ike Turner, Federico Castelluccio, Ice T, The Bishop Don Magic Juan, Peter Greene and more…
