When asked the question, “What kind of music do you like?” most people say, “I like a little of everything”. Well, if you are one of those people, I got what you need.

My CD is a composition of 10 songs, all in different genres, from reggae to folk gospel to Indy rock. I am a producer and songwriter, so when I got home from the show I started a band with my guitarist and longtime friend Aaron Bankhurst an accomplished blues and jazz guitarist who attended Berklee College of Music, and gospel musician Stephen Fowler. I actually do listen to and love aspects of every niche of music. I feel like sticking to hip hop is like sticking only to Italian food, sticking to country is like sticking only to Chinese food…ten minutes later your hungry again…. joke. My point is that in music as in life, it is important to have an extensive pallet as well as an adventurous mind. If you listen to the samples I have already posted (available on itunes) Even if you are not a Reggae enthusiast, the “Judgment day” hook may capture you ear, even the most serious of death metal listeners can appreciate the humor of “fat girl”. My point is: get whatever songs you like on itunes or be adventurous and order the damn CD.

All kidding aside, the CD also has a much deeper meaning and purpose. The song entitled “Shelbie” is a song dedicated to my cousin and all sufferers of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). The proceeds from this song will be donated not only to help research and development of cures, but also to www.Shelbie.org, my cousin’s foundation. This foundation helps the children of people who suffer from ALS. People who have this debilitating disease have to spend almost all of their time, money, and resources dealing with the obstacles they are facing. This means some of the children of these parent don’t get to experience after school activities, summer camp, tutoring, instrument lessons, etc, because the parents can’t afford it. Now parents can contact www.Shelbie.org if the child needs or even wants something along these lines that would bring some sort of normalcy to their lives. Donations from people as well as profits from the purchase of my CD will be directed to helping these families.

Darfur is an area in Africa that today is rampant with warring parties who enslave, rape, pillage, and murder innocent men, woman, and children in tens of thousands. Stories of amputation, and even forced abortions, using bayonets or tree branches are common. Warring factions will kidnap children from their homes (male or female), train/torture them into being vicious soldiers and then lead them back to their homes to rob, rape, and kill their parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, friends, and whoever else gets in the way. I have long tried to raise awareness for similar situations such as the blood diamond trade of Sierra Leone, where similar atrocities have been committed. But now more than ever, the people of Darfur need help. “Judgment Day” is a song I wrote to promote awareness of the disgusting acts of inhumanity now prevalent in that part of the world. All profits from the song on the album will go directly to Darfur relief funds already in place.

As you know, my name is Isaac Stout and I am one of the luckiest people on the planet. I have been afforded the opportunity to make a CD and create my own clothing line because I have (barely) enough money to support these ventures. Above al else, if you take anything away from what I'm doing and leave nothing I want it to stay in your mind that its cool to care. I have been handed way more than I deserve, and I am trying to use these gifts to benefit people who actually do need and deserve it. The shelf life of my fame is short and I only have a small window of time to make as large a difference as I can. But when all is said and done, and nobody even remembers my name, if I can “leave the campsite a little better than I found it”, I will be a happy man.
