Intruder was already formed back in 1999 in Paderborn, Germany. Due to permanent line up changes the band only released one split CD and managed to play a few shows until 2002, when they could finally establish a constant line up. This was the birth of the four-piece we know as Intruder nowadays. By playing a lot of shows in Germany, but also in other european countries, and sharing stages with internationally known bands like Agnostic Front, Ignite, Stretch Arm Strong, Comeback Kid and a lot more as well as with European bands such as Endstand, No Turning Back, Solid Ground or Settle The Score, Intruder accomplished making themselves a name in the German hardcore scene as an energetic and committed live band, that has something to say but still radiates a fun vibe on stage.



As a result of the line up change, which included the change of the vocalist, the musical style switched from NY influenced youth crew hardcore to a more grown up melodic but still aggressive old school sound. The new Intruder style is still heavily influenced by classic hardcore bands like Sick of it all, Minor Threat or Gorilla Biscuits on the one hand but adds some melodic and sometimes even some mosh parts to it on the other hand. Mix this up with raw, pissed off vocals and a lot of sing-a-long parts and you will get an opinion of it. Lyrically the songs mostly combine personal topics like friendship, being positive, love and hate with social topics like e.g. isolation, intolerance and prejudice.



In 2005 Intruder released a 3-way split CD with Burning Fight from Belgium and Nine Eleven from France on the Belgian label Kill Me Twice Records and went on tour with NY's Crime In Stereo.

2006 Intruder were hooked up by their friends Defiant Hearts Records to release a 7" with some new and a bit different sound than we knew it before. Right after the release in September 2006 Intruder went on tour and destroyed stages all over Germany. Until now the feedback to the new material is all good and you should definetly watch out for Intruder coming to your town!
