Insurrection

Insurrection is a dark, extreme metal act from Sweden. The band was formed by Honkonen (Vocals, Guitar) in the year 2006. Aiming for creating a proffessional act which would express his thougths about music being a reflection of a lifestyle, and a tool to reach higher levels.



With the songwriter and bassplayer Johan Gustavsson, extreme metal guitarist Martin Ljungblad and drummer Rickard Schill (Shining, Spawn of Possesion) Insurrection was formed. In 2007 they played shows in Sweden which got a lot of attention from fans and critics worldwide.



In fall the same year Insurrection went on the ”Using and Abusing Europe Tour” with the extreme deathmetal band Lividity (US). After a great tour they went back home to focus on studiowork and songwriting. After beginning some strong co-operation with Kraft Event for manageing Europe and getting some other interesting propositions and requests, the territory grows bigger for everyday and the future looks brighter than ever.
