In January of 2009, Incredible Crisis released their self-titled debut:

Incredible Crisis(GNC008)

It was recorded by the great Belgian, Wouter Reyniers. It can also be downloaded free of charge or guilt from GNC Records.

"The music is a veritable sampler of indie rock styles spanning decades of influence. 'Gesundheit', a measured and spacious rock anthem is a unique combination of chromaticism and tunefulness. It wouldn’t be out of place on either the B-side of a Pink Floyd or Killer’s album.

'The Itch', a slow ethereal lace of bass and guitar is, in my mind, the auditory representation of the redemptive aftermath of some violent conflict, something maybe in the vein of a Sam Peckinpah plot.

Incredible Crisis isn’t afraid to wear their influences on their sleeves, and the guitar riff laden 'Juice Tiger' and solo acoustic 'Chapstick' give nods to Medications and Pedro the Lion respectively. The group’s creative process has been described as bottom up and it shows. Each song is fundamentally genuine and each musician plays an important role on this album. St. Hill’s vibrato-less voice is perfect for 'note by note' melodies, Pureber’s drumming is superbly tight and clean, Aitchison develops theme with unique guitar nuances and Kannenberg’s bass lines are melodic and independent.

'Granite Frame', arguably the best cut on the album offers the listener a great straightforward rock song full of lyricism, rhythm and melody that Incredible Crisis has become known for. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if I found this cut on some Field Day sampler someday very near in the future

All in all the album is a joy to listen to over and over."
