JUKEBOX BIO:

"I was just a little kid who had a knack for making noise," says JukeBox An Altadena bred beat-smith who is rapidly making a name for himself as one of the industry's go-to producers.

Born Ronald Jackson, Juke began playing drums in the family garage around age 5. Forming a love for music early seemed only natural being his uncles are the legendary funk/pop band Brothers Johnson. At age 11, he was always hanging around the studio with his older cousin and multi-platinum producer, Troy Johnson (George Johnson's son), who showed him how to use the MPC 60 beat machine. From that day, Juke says, "It was on." At the tender age of 14, Juke was spending countless hours recreating every beat he heard on the radio. That dedication led to the placement of his first track in a national Blockbuster Video commercial. He continued challenging himself to create revolutionary sounds, beats, and samples that keep him a few steps ahead of his peers. In 2005 (through Troy Johnson), Juke was introduced to Will Smith and Omarr Rambert (Overbrook Executive) at Will's studio in LA called "The Boom Boom Room." Juke's consistency and dedication to his craft caught Will's eye when he voluntarily remixed a song for Will called "Lost and Found," which was the creative launching pad for Will's 2005 internationally Platinum Album of the same title. JukeBox co-produced on the project and received writing credits on 5 songs.

The success of the Lost and Found album led to JukeBox partnering up with the legendary Teddy Riley to produce songs for John Legend and Good Charlotte. He also hooked up with super producer, Rodney Jerkins, to produce songs for Janet Jackson, American Idol winner Blake Lewis, and Ray J.

JukeBox's musical style is incredibly versatile. The sound of his music is mainstream Hip Pop influenced strongly by 80's synth textures, urban drums, and rhythmic undertones. His songs are highly melodic and catchy. JukeBox commented on his own music saying, "It makes people want to dance, move, forget about their worries and get lost in the music. The world is in love with pop music but it also can't resist a dope beat, so I give them a little bit of both."

JukeBox has worked on tracks for projects with Snoop Dogg, Will Smith, Janet Jackson, Blake Lewis, New Boyz, Elijah Kelley, Nelly, Purple Reign (Darkchild Records), Trish (Capitol Records), and Josiah Bell (Capitol Records). JukeBox's tracks also have been featured on MTV Networks "Making the Band", VH1's "What Chili Wants", BET's "106 and Park", and in films including Paramount Pictures' "Coach Carter" and Sony Screen Gems' "Stomp The Yard." He currently has Nelly's comeback single "Tippin' In Da Club" and produced mega hit "Whip My Hair" by Willow Smith.
