Introducing NoGimiks



Alex Middleton a.k.a "NoGimiks." I picked up a mic and dropped my first verse about 05-2001, and man was it 1 fine day. To be honest, first it started as fun & games. Me and my crew dropped tracks so the cats at school would bump it. But then after we started getting good. I started seriously rhyming because it seemed with the introduction of so many main stream rappers I felt that hip hop was straying far from its roots; Dedication, Cultural Creativity, and Originality. And now more than ever its seems like its been plagued with nothing more than catchy hooks, and catchy beats, with less than average lyrics. So wit my raps im trying to give back the honesty, and integrity i feel rap is slowly losing.



Chatted with my man Common on the IM, homey was mad inspirational, just having a chance to talk to him was close to a dream come tru, now im just trying to get focussed working on my first official CD, gonna be out in stores in a couple of months, "Will Rap For Food" In stores: Early 2008



I go to sleep to beats, so in my sleep i think rap/ with some heat, wake up to seek beats and speak rap/

the revolution rhymes, with and evolution of mind/ i took tha path used, and the truth i would find/

im moving grindin, and using rhyming/ to influence the truth that keeps my mind in/

an amusing alignment, of the movement that im in/ but confusion, it often causes confinement/

so my tracks, (they) pose as a usless assignment/ haters wasting space, but they try me/

on the other hand got a few fans who say that they like me/

but turn my back, and in my back they will bite me/

just to spite me, but me quit, im sorry hip hop thats just not likey/

it feels as if im gettin laughed at from behind me/

my proof is i rap, but im still not shining/
