Tom Robinson - BBC 6 Music
With everyone singing backing vocals, the songs were hooky and to the point without an ounce of surplus fat.
NARC. Magazine
Illustrators may be preparing for an assault on the scene that has spawned run of the mill acts for as long as the memory stretches. Two tracks of honesty and tension coupled with a strangley effective fuzzed production result in a listenable, if not entirely groundbreaking end product. Bridges is an honourable effort in terms of its drum heavy feel and emotive guitar lines, while Running Out welds a bitter acoustic introduction to a rousing chorus which pleads to be sung along to.

Opening the show, Illustrators show just why turning up at a gig in time for the supports is always a good idea. The local four piece proceeded to turn in a tight set which impressed the early starters. The atmospheric 'Running Out' typified a solid show, and despite their young age, Illustrators are proof yet again that the scene in Newcastle is on the up.
The Northern Line
Illustrators get on with the job, and storm into a set of songs that hold the whole audience by the bollocks.
The Crack Magazine
This is group of musicians who don't seem to realise they've cracked it. When I say 'it' I mean the hard-to-describe-thing that makes a room full of people stop what they are doing and listen to a band they have never heard of, or seen before.

The final song 'Running Out' is an absolute winner, so Radio friendly it should be played directly into FM frequency at 88.5.

A four piece team, consisting of a vocalist/guitarist, lead guitarist, bassist and drummer; treating the viewing public, to a genre of refreshing originality and infusing the tympanic membrane with a surprisingly delightful mixed buffet.
