These days when you think of a name that can do just about anything, not much comes to the mind. But, Ilisa Juried is really much more than a “triple threat.” A dedicated singer, dancer, actress, composer and choreographer, she puts forth endless energy and enthusiasm in all of her endeavors.
Ilisa literally has music and theater flowing through her veins. She is the daughter Phyllis Juried, Broadway and television performer, and the late producer/composer and recording engineer Michael “Skip” Juried. And, although she has a heart condition, which warranted an implanted defibrillator as a teen, she has never let that slow her down. In fact, she graduated high school early at just 15 years old. She continues to love to learn and inspire others through her talents.
Her resume speaks volumes about her talent and character. She has received top-notch training with internationally acclaimed professionals. She is the protégé of the legendary Hal Schaefer and studied hip-hop with the likes of Shane Sparks, Dave Scott, Marty Kudelka and many others. She has graced print ads, strutted down runways, and lent her talents for numerous local and national commercials.
Most recently, Ilisa has two placements on the “GET BUSY COMMITTEE” Album, “UZI DOES IT” (Linkin Park/Fort Minor/Styles Of Beyond/Demigodz) and is featured in the new 2009 version of, “FAME” the movie. On top of that, she just signed a placement deal with Yamaha, for her song, “YOURS TO SAVE” which will be featured in all the workstation keyboards, something that has never been done yet. She was featured on the television reality series, “The Pussycat Dolls Present Girlicious” directed by Ken Mok and Laura Fuest. Each week she sang and danced her way into the hearts of viewers, making it all the way to the finals. Voted the “fan favorite,” she showed the viewing audience the immense power of her voice, her passion for music and her dancing expertise. Not to mention she has also inspired people all around the world, and has proven that you can follow your dreams no matter what.
Juried was also an Interscope Recording Artist. She has toured as a hip-hop dancer with Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes and City High, to name a few. Ilisa has also been featured in the MTV Documentary series for, Britney Spears, and has been on America’s Best Dance Crew. She has recently been asked to participate in the “Relief For Haiti” CD which hits stores April 2010.
Her other performances include singing for Radio Disney and the Miami Dolphins football team. She has performed with regional theater groups, and has had various tv and print interviews all over the nation. She has been on many tv stations, and continues to make appearances around the world. Ilisa is equally adept at a variety of imitations and dialects. On top of all that, she has her own foundation, “COLORBLIND” which caters to helping stop racism around the world, helping homeless people find homes and food, and finding safe places for abused woman, children and families.
