Halo (Hugo Jerez) born in Managua, Nicaragua, is a Hip Hop artist determined to be heard through his music. Raised in California, he then moved to Washington D.C., lived a few years in Miami, FL and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
On the rise with 2 new albums, (I deal Thoughts.) & (From the Streets to the Booth) Halo is proud to say that he is bringing a unique and versatile Hip Hop to the table. With a distinctive flow, cunning lyrics and sharp metaphors, Halo definitely fits the profile for a dope MC. He says "it's about being versatile, not having to say the same old thing". With this in mind, he compiles themes daily and dedicates all of his time to music.
For the past 6 years, Halo has been traveling back and forth to the U.S., mainly residing in the Dominican Republic and performing shows internationally. There is where he has spent most of his time in the studio, doing shows, radio, T.V. and collaborations with different artists. Halo has opened for artists such as Daddy Yankee, Wisin & Yandel, N.O.R.E., Jadakiss, Big Mato, Hector Y Tito, Arcangel, Lito Y Polaco, Zion & others. Surrounded by Spanish Hip Hop and Reggaeton all day long, still does not change his style of flow or delivery. He continues to expand his horizons and tries to stay as true to the music as possible.
Now with his 2 new albums (I deal Thoughts.) & (From the Streets to the Booth) AND 2 mixtape's all ready out, Halo will continue to push his music to the fullest hoping that his time will come.
