Return of the KING!

A decade after releasing his debut album Mystics of the God King Just has re-emerged to re-claim the hand of his true first love, Hip Hop.

Growing up in the Park Hill Housing Projects on Staten Island with such greats as the Force M.D.s and the Wu Tang Clan, KJ realized his love and talent for the music. He developed his unique style and learned to consistently write every rhyme to out do his last, a skill which distinguished him from other M.C.s. KJ was famous for rocking Staten Islands local clubs, block parties, street corners, and even project staircases. He quickly earned respect as one of the most talented and versatile M.C.s that Staten Island had to offer.

King Just released his classic debut single Warriors Drum 1993 (Hay Ya Ho) which was embraced immediately by the Hip Hop community. Warriors Drum sold over 100,000 units independently and directly led to signing of a label deal with Select Records. As the single continued to rock the airwaves KJ appeared on tracks with top artists such as the Chubb Rocks, Jermaine Dupree, XEscape, Ed Lover, Nine, and the late legendary Biggie Smalls (RIP). As his rep continued to grow in the Hip Hop world, KJ appeared in the documentary Rhyme and Reason, rocked shows from state to state, and was the first artist to perform at N.Y.C Hip Hop radio station Hot 97s first Summer Jam in 1994, a performance which is still raved about to this day.

Because of KJs growing popularity and acclaim in the Hip Hop community there was a huge and growing demand for an album, but due to difficulties between Black fist and Select Records the album took an entire year to be released. Refusing to get discouraged KJ spent the time rocking mix shows, radio shows, and mix tapes all over the country. With gusty rhymes and big name producers such as Flavor in Your Ear Easy Moe Bee, The Alcoholics E-Swift, and Rzas mentor RNS, Mystic of the God was finally released. It sold over 150,000 units despite the year long delay, poor distribution, and a complete and utter lack of promotion.

Upon separating himself from all the turmoil, King Just decided to learn the business end of music. He now heralds his return as the first artist to be released on IRON CURTAIN UNITED Records., a company he co-owns with his partner in crime SLAUTAHOUSE. Retaining his love and skills for Hip hop, King Just advanced his flow and is out to stake his claim as one of the best ever to hold down the mic, offering up his new material as proof. KJs long awaited and fan base anticipated new albums Legend Killa and Return of the REDI includes performances with an entourage of the streets hungriest MCs as well as other IRON CURTAIN UNITED affiliates. So prepare the throne, The King has returned. TEN304 (GETEM SLAUTA GETEM)
