I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

His musical roots are planted on the island of Nevis and has now manifested into the conscious reggae artist IBO.

IBO has many years of experience touring North America with his previous bands Imperial Force out of Montreal and Strugglah out of Calgary, opening up the gates to what is now a thriving Canadian touring reggae circuit. IBO has opened shows for Burning Spear, Sugar Minott, Alpha Blondie, The Wailers Band, Jimmy Cliff, Shaggy, Ini Kamozi and Culture, and has played for the likes of Half Pint, Ken Booth, The Mighty Diamonds, Scare dem crew, George Nooks, Alton Ellis, Ras Ghandi, Pinchers and Leroy sibbles. IBO is also a founding member of the Calgary International Reggae Festival and has played a great role in producing, promoting and elevating reggae music in Canada over the years.

IBO and KinDread, as his touring band is called, is a group with a positive message is a driving force on the Canadian Reggae circuit delivering the message of Rastafari, love, unity and have inspired many people as they tour across North America.

He has released one album " The Prayer " on the Afesha Music lable and one single on the SMOKEYROOM Productions label . "The Prayer" has sold over two thousand units in Canada alone, in a reggae market that is not known for high volumes of album sales and the first single off his new album, "Sweet Like A Sugah" is featured on a compilation CD from Canadian Reggae World / JuPeter Records out of Toronto and also on another compilation by SMOKEYROOM productions called "Daily Bread, Various Artists Vol.1" . "It's A Long Way" was recorded at Anchor Recording Studio in Kingston, Jamaica and will also be featured on "DAILY BREAD".

Musicans:

Lee, is a top class guitar, bass and keyboard player who comes from Sav, Jamaica, has the experience of playing the hotel scene, Reggae Sunsplash, Sumfest, to doing studio work with top Jamaican producers. He has worked with Half Pint, Leroy Sibbles, Ed Robinson, Ken Boothe, Ras Ghandi and Sugar Minott. Lee has produced and written with IBO for the past twelve years and together they have produced five albums and three singles out of the Smokeyroom studio. Lee adds a unique style of keyboard playing and vocal harmony which enhances the sound of the band and its production quality.

Iwah is blessed with the gift of playing the guitar which he has been playing since he was a young man living in east Vancouver. He has always had a love for different styles of music and has played with acoustic, African and reggae bands. Iwah has also had the opportunity to play with notable artists George Nooks, Half Pint, Monty Morris, The Mighty Diamonds and Ras Ghandi. IBO met Iwah while on a Western Canada tour , they stayed in touch , and through Jah works and destiny made the link. Ever since all has been blessed and the music has been elevated as Iwah brought his feel to the sound of IBO and KinDread.

Presently on bass is Robbie Roots from the Kootnays who is the bassist for FoundationStone, a Nelson area Reggae outfit led by Chris-I who has been keeping the reggae flame burning in the Kootnays for some time now. Robbie's sound and musical vibe has brought a nice laidback and steady feel to the sound of IBO & KinDread .

Juan, also from the island of Nevis, has recorded and played drums with Ibo, both in the islands and North America over the last 12 years or so. He is experienced in many different forms of music, from soca, rock, hiphop, contemperary to reggae which has taken him arond the world to places like Europe, Japan and North America touring with the artist called Mishka, opening shows for The Roots, Sly & Robbie etc. Juan is touring with IBO for 2007 on the "Sweet Like A Sugah Tour " and also doing some major production for SMOKEYROOM studio in the fall .

I Love you O Lord, My Strength. The Lord is my Rock, My fortress, and My deliverer, My God, My Rock in them, I take Refuge, My Shield, and the horn of my Salvation, My Stronghold. In my Distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice and my cry to him reached his ears.

On Thursday August 16th, 2007 Ibo & Kindread left Calgary to perform at the Field Festival in Regina, Canada. IBO & KinDread had also a contract to perform at the Calgary Reggae Festival which was to be held on Saturday August 18th, 2007. Such was the excitement and commitment to get back to Calgary, IBO & KinDread decided to head back immediately after performing in Regina. IBO & KinDread, along with Culture Brown a visiting artist from Jamaica, started this six hour journey by van from Regina to Calgary. In the early hours of Saturday morning, on approaching Brooks about two hours away from Calgary, something happened; the van left the highway, hit the railings and flipped over several times before coming to a stop on four wheels. With four men critically injured and two men with minor scratches, they were able to help their injured brothers who were taken to Brooks Hospital and later flown to Foothills Medical Center. IBO, who had massive head and brain injuries along with a broken neck and back, was in a coma and was placed in the ICU where he was for one month. He was later placed in the trauma ward in September until November when he went to the rehab ward. It was a long journey. In April 2008, IBO was moved to the Sarcee Care Centre where he stayed until July 10, when he left to return to his homeland Nevis in the Carribbean to recuperate. IBO's healing has been described as a Miracle. Some doctor's say they do not understand, and some are still blown away and are amazed at his recovery. We know that IBO is still with us for a purpose - No one knows about tomorrow, but we all know who holds tomorrow. We give thanks for IBO, he has a clean heart and it's been a long way. Give Thanks to Jah. Bless!

IBO would like to thank all those persons who stood by him through it all, and would admonish all musicians to get adequate rest before moving on to their next appointment.
