I AM THE PIRATE

IATP is a five-piece death metal band hailing from Rimouski, Quebec, Canada, a town championned by many international death metal acts for its incredible scene back in the 90s. Far from fitting the current-bandwagon generic death/core outfit, their agressive, punishing style could be best described as a blend of old-school New York and Florida death metal with a definitive hardcore influence, reminiscent of acts like Dying Fetus, Malevolent Creation,Suffocation and Skinless. Their debut EP, « The Myths of Human Condition », should be released in early 2009. Astonishingly, the band hasn’t jumped on any label’s rooster - yet.
