Truth is a rapper, producer, writer and founding partner of Blackout Entertainment LLP.

An artistically inclined child he taught himself to play the guitar at 15 and soon fell in love with the idea of creating his own music, which he started doing from the age of 16 in his bedroom. It was after meeting Harmony an up and coming producer from London that Truth’s sound really started to develop, from an all out ‘spitter’ of raps Truth soon became an artist with a sound that was as melodic and atmospheric as it was hard drawing on influences from rap music pioneers like Dr Dre, Jay-Z, Nas, Dmx and Mobb Deep.

Over the following years Truth worked ,ate, slept and breathed in the studio in North London, honing his skills as a rapper and producer as well as developing a new skill set to enable him to work as a mixer and engineer on records whilst still making time to mentor young and aspiring artists.

He quickly developed a sound and content which is not just real but describes life both in the streets and within the music industry; combining punch lines, flows and stories with the fluidity of the greats but with the added swagger of the freshest rappers to date. One of Truth’s greatest assets is his versatility whether he’s working on a hip hop record such as his forthcoming single “English Rudeboy” or with Harmony on R&B club records such Jamelia ‘Something about you’, Kelly Rowland ‘Put It in’, ‘Alesha Dixon ‘Breathe Slow’ (Blackout mix) or Laura Izibor’s “Shine (Blackout Mix)”.

Truth has earned praised from the likes of R&B star Lloyd, Nelly and the queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J Blige for his smooth delivery and swagger. At the same time Truth has remained street enough to gain credit from hip hop superstars 50 Cent and Mobb Deep who supplied Truth with the intro to his first mixtape ‘Tru Stories’ after being impressed during a chance Camden meeting.

After setting up Black Out Entertainment with Harmony in December 2008 an immediate scramble for their signature pursued. Black Out decided to make a home with renowned super-producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins and expand the Black Out family from London to Los Angeles working with and around artists such as Whitney Houston, Akon, Diddy, 50 Cent, T-Boz (TLC), Three6Mafia, Chris Brown, Janet Jackson, Leona Lewis and Lloyd.

Currently Truth is working on his debut album “State of Affairs” and his new mixtape “TS2 (Tru Stories Part 2)” will be hitting the streets before the end of the summer. The first single ‘English Rudeboy’ is an edgy anthem designed to showcase Truth on the global stage. Already well received by the industry in the US “English Rudeboy” is a bold statement for the first single at a time dominated by up-tempo music, yet that bold statement is in itself what Truth is all about, one record at a time making the world show their support and throw their “B’Z UPPPP”
