Hunchback Esquire

Hello and thank you for tuning in. My name is Caleb. I'm what you would call a dreamer. A true definition of a beat head. Hardly seen, rarely photographed. An artist of sample digging and sound layering, the humble Hunchback can be found working in the dark corners of his laboratory for hours and hours, experimenting with dreamy psychedelic hip hop/lounge and soul fusion for the true heads that appreciate the sophisticated instrumentals of a nostalgic hermit. I started making beats in '98 but it was the Digable Planets '93 "Blowout Comb" album that illuminated my true love for pure hip hop. I pour all of my heart and soul into my music, reminding me of a simple time when rockin' high-top double neon-laced L.A. gears. And when Walkmans were hung proudly from the waistband of a 'fannypack'. i prefer audio tapes to cd's because good music shouldn't have to be skipped through from track to track. It should just be absorbed thoroughly and thoughtfully.

After 10 years of experimenting and producing, i decided to share my beats with the rest of the world and hope everyone who comes across my humble little profile will find the peace, tranquility and joy that i have experienced in creating them.
