WARNING!!! THIS INFORMATION MAY WARRANT SURVELENCE, YOUR PHONE BEING TAPPED AND OR POSSIBLE DUCK TAPE ABDUCTION BY THE FBIHere in the United States of America music has been manipulated by subliminal negative propaganda that is designed to feed an unknowing, yet sheepish majority. Even more sinister is the initial aim of this hidden agenda targeted at our most precious commodity, our children. Today, we the keepers of the free world are galvanized with the intent to combat this secret plot in the form of the Movement Against Negativity. And so enters M.A.N. an MC/Artist/ Producer, a staunch advocate for the people, and a activist for truth who has mastered the art of communicating the ills of the community while uplifting the masses in a dying art form of grass roots Hip Hop entertainment. With his first music we find M.A.N making it clear in his latest debut, that he is not giving ground to the lack luster of Hip Hop and society as a whole; Songs like ‘Barney Rubble’ indicate just that. Taking a look at the world and its ever perplexing identity crisis with songs such as ‘Black Casper’ and making his unapologetic point of view heard on issues such as police brutality with songs like ‘Hansup!’

M.A.N also fka as Monk(see CD below) is an MC who has formulated his style from an abnormal perspective mixed with street poetry, political prowess, and down home humor was born and raised in the historical city of Detroit, home of the infamous Motown sound and more recently the late and undoubtedly great J Dilla(Jay Dee). With humble beginnings as one part of the critically acclaimed group Ichabods Tree, M.A.N has worked with numerous artist from old school legends like Awesome Dre to the new age, soulful artist Behn fka Afra Behn. With great experience and knowledge of self, M.A.N. now a solo entity, migrated to Brooklyn New York with hopes of expanding his career and voice to a more world wide audience. Along with such world renown talents as Slum Village, Royce Da 5'9, D12, and of course the ever lyrical phenom Eminem, M.A.N. has been sent as an agent of change who is against the fruitless, mind gobbling music that has held the radio and video channels hostage for the past few years. Here to free your mind and yes ladies and gents, your behind, the movement is here to serve your extremely underserved soul with conceptually driven music that is enveloped in truism with colorful lyrics and head jarring beats for ya trunk. We invite you to join the movement, all be it, by support of air play, attending a performance, and/or our favorite, by purchasing a CD or digital download. This will not only automatically deputize anyone seeking to get involved and be a part of the movement but will also, for a limited time only, cover all membership dues indefinitely. Thank you and I hope you enjoy this music as much as I enjoyed being a part of creating it and presenting it to you.

Suggestions, Comments, we would love to hear from you.

The Epic of Self (EoS) is a refreshing validation for your soul and a refuge for the toiled mind. It’s a fashionable Huey P. Newton, Old School rapping, with a young Marvin G. crooning, over melodic, bass dropping, soul infused beats, with a heavy dose of Detroit cool and Ghetto intellect. EoS is a collage of artful expressions that deal with life as a man, a father, a lover, and as a friend to the urban community. Beginning with a Destiny and ending where we all do, back to Self. With songs such as ‘Self ‘ and ‘Destiny’ featuring the ever soulful and musically creative Behn, who appears on the project as a innovative producer and artist, this epic is a tale that is deeply seated in true emotion and heart felt realism. Along with momentous collaborations with artist like “down home songstress” Pfire who is featured, along w/ Behn on the first single ‘Anvibea’ and the likes of the one and only Jupiter Girl: Isa Starr on songs like ‘People’, this CD surely is saturated with immense belief and an unapologetic state of mind. Seconding that notion with songs such as ‘Grow’ where the velvet voice of Walt brings remnants of the legendary Isaac Hayes to mind, body, and soul. Epic of Self promises a feel good substance of sorts for you to bob your head to, while being inspired to reach high for your dreams and becoming more consciously aware of the world around us. Ultimately, challenging all of man kind to live their EoS as well.
