HUMANA

After leaving his last rock band and signing up in a jazz school in
2003, Matias Figueroa was already thinking about his new band, and
those guitar riffs to come. That same summer Miguel Morgado had
been looking for good bass lessons and went to the same school
where Matias was studying. They shared a lot of music and ideas in
there, and decided to play together.
Miguel had a really good old drumer friend, Pablo Martinez, with
whom he had been playing since long time before. They would
become classmates short after at the jazz school. Miguel told Pablo
about the new band idea and invited him to play in it.In those eraly
days they were a trio called Seven but it was just for a couple of months
because they realize that they need a second guitar player to complete the proyect.
Was in that moment when Pepe Lastarria began to play along with them and started to
record their first EP in 2005 as HUMANA.
After they got it recorded Pepe Lastarria left the band and
Christian Vallejos, an old Miguel and Pablo's rock band partner and classmate
in the same jazz school joined the band to play the guitar. Since then
the band has been going up in the scene pretty fast, playing
everywhere they can.
In 2006 Humana recorded at Bolchevique Records, one of the
most important independent label in Chile which signed them up,
their first LP called Aurora.
During 2006 and 2007 the band filmed three video clips for three
singles from Aurora and after this they got two successful tours
around Brazil. In 2008 the band recorded their second LP Views.
Nowadays they are compousing new music and rocking around like
they always wanted to.
