Mauricio Diaz is an explosive Mexican composer. He holds nothing in
the conventional and has a rebellious nature and delirium for life
that are absolutely poetic.
Mauricio’s music is a fusion of genres as diverse as the
Veracruzan and Cuban son, rock, bossa, rap, pop, folk,
classical music, and blues amongst others. It is a fine and
contemporary weaving that is hard to label under one single musical
genre. It is simply a new style.
Always writing and developing new projects, Mauricio gifts us with a
new outlook on the present moment as he proposes with his poetry.
Mauricio has composed more than 300 songs and has played solo acts
with his guitar in different countries including Cuba, France,
Germany, the United States, Spain, Puerto Rico and in all of Mexico.
Silvio Rodriguez, Tania Libertad, Elena Burke and Eugenia Leon amongst other composers have shared the stage with him.
