Hi Fidel Cartel

Born and raised in Portugal, Hi Fidel Cartel are 3 Dj's and a Mc. Although they're musical backgrounds span back to 1996 with Hardcore, Hiphop and Funk, they have come together as a collective and have been playing breakbeat inspired music since 2002.



First as a production core, they've began rocking dancefloors in Portugal and flew off to Spain and the UK where they built a reputation for their skills on the decks. Apart from being one of the constant appearances in line-ups in Portugal they play several gigs across the UK and Europe bringing an unique blend of beats from across the whole spectrum of breakbeat music, mainly drum'n'bass.

Having played alongside many of the scene biggest dj's such as Roni Size, Andy C, Fabio, Grooverider, Simon Bassline Smith, Scratch Perverts, Randall, Swan-E, Craze to name a few, their sets are always eclectic and fresh.



As we progress to 2011, Hi Fidel Cartel still holds nights such as the nearly five-year and rolling "The Whole Spectrum" drum'n'bass residence at Cafe 1001 in East London which have brought a great deal of guests including UK talent such as Baron, Benny Page, Swan-E, Husley, Dope Ammo, Jay, Nev Scott, Juan Corbi, Macphearson, Tali, Youngman, Krafty, Freestyle, international talent from Europe such as Lazza, Ochan, Finger, MK Milk, Grass, Mood, Baz, System D, Divine, Pawel, Takitam FDJ and of course Portugal-brewed talent such as Nuno Forte, Yur, Gabbi Lopez, L-Jam, Unit 1, Jamie Boy, Al-X, Subway, Basic Manuvers and Benvinda and many many more.



Also, collaboration with Dj Slauka + Mc Kemon brings the finest dubstep to R.E.N.E.G.A.D.E. being hosted every third friday of the month for the past year! Watch this space!
