Seeped in Club History, Hidden was the Old venue once known as 'The Steering Wheel' and is based in the building known as 'Kotwell House'

S.L.A.G (Savaged Promotions) & FUN (C.R.E.A.M) were the first main promotions in the club that really got anywhere and created a stir within Birmingham with colourful characters such as 'Black Pat' R.I.P, Twiggy & Chrissie Darling, Barney, Carl, Tat & Rob Hanna among many others that simply aren't found in todays clubscene.

After the days of C.R.E.A.M & Savage Promotions came the days of Smiler and the early involvement of Dj RUE who was playing on Mix FM at the time along with the Hinsley brothers and this lasted for a few years before the Steering Wheel was finally given the boot and a new path was sought!

This new path came solely because of 1 man and his determination to show the owner of the club 'Sidney Taylor Snr' that he could turn any club around and after creating 'Arca Bar' he was given this chance and history was in the making

Opened under the over seeing eye of Eddie Bolton, Hidden was a brain child of his and along with the help of DJ Rue, they brought a massive new 'Funky House' tip to Hidden completely away from the older vibe that speed garage had brought along with it in previous years - Massive funky house names were brought to the club and magazines were all over the new superclub that Hidden & Hidden bar had become

The nights 'Promise & Clique' filled the friday and saturday nights and the crowds poured into this new venue after a massive 'hide & seek' type campaign had driven the clubbing club into a frenzy about this new 'Hidden Nightclub'. Massive isn't a word big enough to describe how well Hidden did on the clubbing map and people from all over the country came.

Then as most things do, The weekly funky nights had run their time and the Hidden Bar was changed once again into a new venue in the name of the 'Moon Lounge' - This bar is infamous in its own right and spawned 'MUDCLUB' as well as the famous 'Ecko era' which can still be found at the heart of the building to this very day.

Hidden then went through hard times as a club as the downstairs 'Moon Lounge' took all the new big promotions and was itself pulling numbers of 500 a week. Hidden was at this point closed for many weeks on end with the odd event being held in it.

After around a year and half of the 'Ecko Era' of the Moon Lounge, Ecko started to combine the 2 clubs together and formed the Superclub once again and brought in numbers of over 1200 people to their events

The new era was certainly paying off with 500 people every friday and saturday attending the Moon Lounge downstairs and with monthly superclub events that added to an Hed Kandi superclub along with the club @ 'Bambu' as well as the return of the 'Mudclub' but this time into Hidden Nightclub, things were once again rolling for 'Kotwell House'

After a couple of years of smooth running, the end had come for the Hed Kandi superclub events and the massive 'Ecko Era' after spanning 5 years had seemingly come to a close in the year of 2008 - Moon Lounge was partly sold off and the remaining building turned into a sports cafe which flopped terribley, the name of 'Play Bar' won't be 1 that will be remembered.
