Herbie Hancock - Chameleon (FULL VERSION) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 14, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
I'm tired of great songs being brutally severed into multiple videos. Enjoy funking out to this uncut, studio rendition of "Chameleon", from the 1973 album Head Hunters. No copyright intended.

"The image on the album cover, designed by Victor Moscoso, is based on an African mask that is associated with the Baoulé tribe from Côte d'Ivoire. The family of such masks is known as Goli. Their presence is called upon in times of danger, during epidemics or at funeral ceremonies. The image is also based on tape head demagnetizers used on reel-to-reel audio tape recording equipment at the time of this recording." -Wikipedia

p.s.- My apologies if you see any ads on this video. I have no control over their placement, nor where any of that revenue goes. I doubt very much Mr. Hancock sees a dime of it, so I'd advise not clicking them. If you prefer to browse the web without constant interruptions and distractions, I recommend using Ad Block Plus, and chipping in with a donation to its creator at https://getadblock.com.

*Addendum: I have noticed a new advertisement on this video stars Mr. Hancock himself, teaching a specialized jazz course online. For those of you who may be musically inclined (and who already have some talent), it seems like participating might be a worthwhile endeavor. Here is a link in case you missed the ad, or it has been replaced by the time you read this:

Best of luck if you decide to try it. If anyone does, please consider leaving some feedback about your experience in the comments to share with other aspiring musicians and fans of Herbie's music. We'd love to hear how it went.

Thanks.
