I recorded this track with GITTA MacKAY and EVERLING. Gitta is the original studio singer of SILVER CONVENTION’s US No. 1 hit single "Fly, Robin, Fly" and she's a fantastic singer! You find this track on MyOuterSpace Vol. 3.



voyager 1



BRIDGET WISHART on vocals and EWI here. The track was recorded for MyOuterSpace Volume 3 and is about the probe Voyager 1, now the farthest manmade object from Earth. It carries the Voyager Golden Record containing sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth. It is intended for any intelligent extraterrestrial life form, or far future humans, that may find it.

Sir ALAN DAVEY on bass here. Real nice guy. Great musician. One of the best bass players on planet Earth. Ex-Hawkwind. Got a cool new band now called Gunslinger. And a zillion other projects.

about hensel 3000



My name is Frank Hensel. I grew up and still live in Gelsenkirchen, Germany (the so-called 'town of 1000 fires' then) in a typical Ruhrgebiet working class background. Coal-mines, coking plants, steel mills and chemical industry darkened the sky and the mind and thus I started to read science fiction extensively and listen to music intensively.

Right from the start I fell utterly in love with space and time and travelling through it, and it still has a huge impact on my work.



At the beginning of the 90's I found musicians good and patient enough for a big serious project: the trio called The Enemy Within.

For the next two years we played all over Germany and were local heros in the Ruhrgebiet. We recorded a self produced album in 1993 called Pulp but due to famous 'musically differences' dissolved in 1994.



I found the time to write two science fiction musicals: the rock musical The Libuda Conspiracy and Space Patrol (based on the German TV series from the 60's 'Raumpatrouille' - see my top friends).

'Too far out stories for the usual friend of musicals' and 'too expensive to produce' was the experts' opinion. Both never made it to the stage to day.



Apart from some sound installations for museums and music for short films I composed and produced the music for the highly acclaimed CD-Rom 'Industrial Heritage Trail'.

about MyOuterSpace



A lot of work goes into the MyOuterSpace project (see No. 1 in my top friends). For MyOuterSpace Vol. 1 I had the honour to record the track 'berliner schule' with one of my musical heroes, Harald Grosskopf, the legendary German drummer who played (among hundreds of others) on the Klaus Schulze 'Moondawn' album. With THE SLEGDE DOGS I had the chance to record the track 'spaceman'.

For MyOuterSpace Vol. 2 I had the honour to record the track 'Confetti check A ok' (based on the UFO episode of the same name) with Alan Davey on bass (Ex-Hawkwind, now with Gunslinger) and with the outstandingly gifted German female singer Gabi Bott on vocals. And it was BIG FUN to record the track 'time corridor' with the outstanding EMERGENCY LIBRARIAN.



For MyOuterSpace Vol. 3 I again had the honour to do some collaborations with great musicians from all over planet Earth.

I recorded a long and spacey track with my Argentinian friend FELINI called 'capitán del espacio'.

BRIDGET WISHART sang, spoke and played EWI on the track 'voyager 1' about the space probe being as of now the farthest manmade object from Earth.

And I had the chance to record the track 'space and time' with GITTA MacKAY (original studio singer of SILVER CONVENTION’s US No. 1 hit single 'Fly, Robin, Fly') and my buddy EVERLING.

And for MyOuterSpace Vol. 4 I had a wonderful collaboration with my Mexican buddy Arróniz. We created a fine track called 'spaceScape'.
