Andrew Jon Thomson has been a creator and performer of entertainment and media since 1976.



From childhood he has been involved with almost every aspect of show business and public communications, including writing, directing, composing, acting, performing and promoting, in the fields of music, filmmaking, film distribution, and theatrical film exposition, television, theater, comedy, drama, journalism, public and community radio, fiction writing, documentaries, epk/behind the scenes featurettes, film and music festival production, and community and media activism.



Despite a glaring lack of commercially released cd's, he has written and performed music for enthusiastic audiences around the world including the continental USA, Alaska, Thailand, Laos, and Cuba as well as at many protests and numerous live radio performances around the world.



He is currently working on a massive recording project with his all star International Superband.

He is honored to have shared stages with Michael Franti of Spearhead, Cracker, CAKE, Anton Barbeau, Zircus and many other great musicians and bands.



The bands he has put together or co-founded include HUGG, Atom and the Bombs, Poyzonberries, Seven Languages, Dry Grind, Suite Sweet Bulbs, 23, The Jimmy Hoffa Experience, Powerpussy, The Farmers of Freedom, The Freedom Farmers, The Alaska Action Center Band, Saddle Pals of the Western Frontier, and more that remain to be remembered.



He also founded democracy-promoting activist groups the Alaska Action Center and the Freedom Cinema Festival and has another life as a filmmaker, having directed and produced dvd featurettes for indie films Dopamine and Swing and produced, directed and written (with the help of the cast) his own independent project called Andrew Jon Thomson Presents: The Making of: Invasion of the Freedom Snatchers as well as having written numerous screenplays.



Here is a video of neighbor & talented B-Boy Ijal dancing to the song "Let it Rise" with AJT live on guitar and beats by grammy winning producer Bassy B Brockman who can be seen adjusting the screen on the side of the frame. This video was shot after a week long session in the Happyland Studios Production Facility.
