Heidi Skjerve Quintet

Heidi Skjerve Quintet is a fine gathering of young musicians who have already made a mark on the Norwegian and international jazz scene with groups such as: Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, The Core, Trondheim Voices and Puma to name a few.



The quintet plays original compositions by Skjerve, characterized by strong melodies and great diversity of tempo, rythms and excpression. Inspired by the ever green jazz standards, vital modal jazz and singer songwriters such as Nick Drake, we have managed to create a personal sound in the Nordic landscape of pop and jazz.



Heidi Skjerve Quintets critically acclaimed debut CD Coming Home was released in March 2006 on the Norwegian record label Curling Legs.
