HEDONE

Hedone (in Greek means delight) is one of the most innovative

bands in Poland. Hedone has gotten very positive opinions of both

the fans and the critics since the very beginning. Having released

their first album Hedone entered the Polish Rock Encyklopedia.

So far the band has released 4 albums. the first one "Werk" (1994),

includes Iggy Pop’s message for the Poles, recorded by him especially for song Poland.

Two remixes of Zapach (Scent), so far Hedone’s biggest hit sung

together with a famous Polish singer Renata Przemyk, were

produced by Mute Records industrial star from Slovenia - Laibach.

Hedone has been twice nominated for Fryderyk - a prestigious

award of the Phonographic Academy in Poland.

Band’s last album, Playboy, released in May 2005, received

enthusiastic reviews not only from the fans, but also from the

music trade and the critics. The material represents modern

climate of rock alternative music.

The album received national RadioWawa’s award for the most

interesting album of the year 2005.

In 2005 the band starred in the second edition of Philips music

EXTREMELIFE+ tour, promoting Playboy. During the tour the band

played in over 25 cities and on the biggest outdoor events in Poland.

Hedone’s concerts are extremely welcomed by the audience.

Currently the band is working on a new material which will be

heavier in style than the previous one.
