Heathers are twin sisters Ellie and Louise Macnamara. Their debut album 'Here, Not There' has garnered serious praise amongst both fans and media alike, and following a very successful Irish debut, the album will be released in the UK and further European countries from October 2010.
Following two month-long tours of America, and having supported Kimya Dawson of 'The Moldy Peaches' in London, Heathers joined Paolo Nutini on selected UK and Ireland dates this Autumn. The great reactions to their album led to Heathers' being invited to perform at CMJ festival in New York and at Canadian Music Week in Toronto. They have also performed at Ireland's largest two music festivals; Oxegen and Electric Picnic - along with several others throughout the Summer of 2010. In June they played to 20,000 people for the Opening Ceremony of Special Olympics 2010.
The duo have also just recently been nominated by Irish pop radio national broadcaster 2FM to represent Ireland at Eurosonic 2011 this coming January in the Netherlands.
Their first UK single – Remember When -was dubbed the 'sound-track of the Irish Summer' and was released in the UK on September 27th
