Hookz, born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri has always been into music. Ever since he was a baby, his mother & father would play music to calm and relax him when he was irritable. At the tender age of 5 years old, he became a fan of Hip Hop when he was watching TV & saw LL Cool J rapping on MTV. From that day forward his mother could not turn it on anything but music videos. When Hookz turned 8 years old, he began to rap. He would hook up recorders to his Nintendo & freestyle to the music in the option menus & let his parents here his finished product. From there it just became even more serious, when after he turned 13 years of age he began recording in professional studios. His 1st record was a track entitled “Just Another Day” where he rapped about his life in school & the street & how gangs were affecting him. It was then seen that this was not a phase & had nothing to do with money…Hookz loved HIP HOP.



Now, Hookz is the voice of the people…literally. He didn’t follow the code that rap music has taken. You will hear him say nothing in regards to selling drugs, shooting guns, gang banging, or anything that is considered to be what rap music is about. He is what most people consider to be a “9 to 5 Rapper”. He speaks & talks only about what he knows & has been through. In 2002, Hookz went to school in Seattle, Washington to gain trades in music engineering and business management so he could run his own record label. After returning to Saint Louis in the summer of 2003, he started building his recording studio & production studio, which is now industry standard. Now a days he has been sharpening his craft is rapping & producing. Hookz has also taken part into the online phenomenon…MySpace. After almost a year he has reached well over 1,000,000 views & 1,000,000 plays. The amazing part is the fact that he did it all by himself.



With the way things is going Hookz future looks very bright. He has a label, production company & great music that is sure to take over the hearts of listeners everywhere. If the right people get a hold of him, the sky’s the limit & the possibilities are endless. In April of 2008, Hookz hit St. Louis with his single “What Up Boy?” which was a street shocker. Nobody in the city was ready for it. The single gained air play on local & internet radio stations. While getting over 300,000 plays on MySpace. Now ears are open in other places where the internet is only a word…aka…the STREETS!



The next goals for Hookz are to get a team to back & support him…including Promoters, & a Manager. In doing this he also wants to try & get his music heard on the radio for the city, state, nation, and even the world to enjoy. Knowing that if this happens, it is pretty much guaranteed that Hookz will get signed & for fill his dream in becoming apart of Hip Hop’s House. ALL HAIL H - DOUBLE - O - K - Z!!!!!
