INTRODUCING THE H.B.O.Y.S.

Meet the H.B.O.Y.S., one of the South’s most talented rap groups. Comprised of twin brothers MarvLust and J-Soul, they have released their mixtape, Independently Major. Three of its songs, “We Ain’t,” the Carolina anthem “Sincerely SC,” and “One Of A Kind,” all produced by superproducer Tone Beatz, have been garnering a buzz on the streets as well as radio airplay and spins in area nightclubs.

The H.B.O.Y.S. have performed and had their music played in numerous parts of South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia, developing a strong following in the tri-state area. Originally from Rembert, S.C., they currently reside in Charlotte, N.C.

The group’s list of accomplishments is impressive and ever-growing. They won first place in the first-ever “Wrigley’s wRapper Challenge,” a nationwide rap contest sponsored by the Wrigley Corporation. The H.B.O.Y.S.’s song, “Residential Love,” was entered into the contest by Columbia radio station Hot 103.9 (WHXT) and beat out hundreds of radio stations’ entries from across the country.

With a long list of live performances to their credit, the hip-hop duo have performed at the 3 Rivers Music Festival, the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival, the Coca-Cola Jam Fest, sponsored and headlined Hip Hop Night at Augusta’s famed Soul Bar, performed at the Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta, and they performed at the inaugural James Brown Music Festival.
