"Lil Face" was born in Oakliff, Tx March 28, 1987. During Birth His Father, "Face", a Harlem 30's gang member was serving a 13 year Manslaughter charge in the Oregon State Pen. His mother 18 years old at the time did the best she could to raise her first born child. As a mother, she made sure that Lil Face and his Father had a stable relationship, They often took trips to go visit Big Face at least twice a month. She kept him envoled as a kid in sports such as soccer and basketball to keep him from being involved with the streets just as his Father was.Didnt work out as she planned! By the 7th grade Lil Face was flunking classes, skipping school, smoking weed, and fighting all the time, He was becoming a big problem. Lil Face was becomming heavily influenced by street gangs, although he was basically raised in a blood neighborhood (Woodlawn Park), He looked up to his Fathers young homies from the Kerby BloKC CripsHe learned alot from "The Turf" as he calls it! By 17 he was kicced out of the house, struggling to graduate, and getting to be deeper and deeper into the streets! He and his Father grew to be just like Best Friends,and Lil Face admitts, growing up the way he did taught him alot about life, and the streets is what inspires him to write and write as well as he does. Writing became an outlet for him when he was angry and depressed or just didnt kno how to express hiself. Being a very music oriented young man, he developed a versitile style! Being that his Father was born and raised on the streets of East Oakland, he picked up the bay area style growing up, taking trips to visit family, getting a taste of the Bay Life, and he loved it!!! He also was into the ladies so he has always understood that when making music, you cant always just be a HOOD NIGGA!and if you remain a hood nigga, make the ladies love you!
