What do you get when you mix a conscious message with neo soul, r&b and a touch of hip hop? That would be Zaimah. Zaimah is a Conscious Soul singer who has had the blessing of sharing her message and creative writing ability with the American audience since 2006 with her self titled album "Zaimah", featuring the classics such as "New African Man" and "Wifey". In 2010 her music was played on French radio, and she has recently been offered a French distribution deal which will send her to Paris to record her 3rd album, to be available in Europe as well as America. Zaimah writes all of her music and when asked how she manages to combine those awesome melodies with a striking message to create such substantial music, she said "Its just a matter of giving the people their vegetables, but you gotta give it to them in a sweet sauce." And thats just what Zaimah's music is. healthy like vegetables for your soul, but sweet like candy to your ears.
