Hex Records

Hex Records started in 1999 as an extension of Hanging Like a Hex zine, which has been around in one form or another since 1995. Things started out with the Hex comp. 7" (Every Time I Die, Hermon DeKalb, Eternal Youth, and Nora) and not too long afterwards the first EP for Syracuse rock soldiers Spark Lights the Friction. Since that time Hex Records has released music from Inkling, Building On Fire, The Minor Times, Ed Gein, Cursed, Achilles, Engineer, The National Acrobat, No Idols, The Helm, Playing Enemy, and more to come.

The goal of Hex Records is to release music that is challenging to both the conventions of hardcore and punk, as well as towards the general public, with an emphasis on community, trust, and friendship.
