Jay Gutta

Born Irvin Joseph Morales, from Williamsburg Brooklyn Nov. 21st 1981.
Jay Gutta had a troubled childhood as many people have.
although his situation was a quite bit different. Coming from a broken
home of two Puerto Rican parents life as you can imagine was rough
as both parents married and divorced at an early age.
Raised speaking primarily Spanish and in a primarily Hispanic
neighborhood, (at the time) and living together in a crowded home was
quite rough. His father had remarried, soon changing
Jays life forever.



His father gained custody of Jay Gutta at a young age where Jay then
attended private schooling, wasn't allowed to speak any Spanish,
and only saw his mothers side of the family but once every 2 weeks
(if that) after moving to Jersey with his father and step mother because
of custody rights.
At the age of 7 Jay, (in the backseat of a car), got into a minor fender bender in which he hit his head. The hit to the head left him with 5 years of epilepsy and seizures in which doctors said would either leave Jay unable to do any type of contact sports, smoke and drink or would go away in time with medication. Jay now smokes, drinks and plays Football on free time.



One day at age 12 at dinner police raided Jays house and arrested his
father for possession, selling and possession of multiple
weapons, which meant one thingJay was going back to N.Y, back to his
mother and starting a new life. He was actually given the name Jay by his
mother, short for Joseph since he didn't (and still doesn't) like his
government name. He lived the normal life of a teenager in Ridgewood
Queens, such asschool, getting kicked outta school, getting arrested
twice for graffiti, getting high.getting kicked out of school again .all
that jazz.until, at the age of 18 he decided to make his mom proud for
a change and join the NAVY. (Partly because it helped to drop the graffiti
charges!)



Jay's father however faced a different yet similar twist of fate. He was
arrested again, though this time it was for something else. Throughout
Jay's career in the Navy and until the year 2038 Jay Gutta will have been
without a free father unless he could help. (Now this is one reason Jay is
trying to make it)
In the course of his 4 years in the navy he bought a house in Japan.
met many people all over the worlddidn't really take much shit from
anybody, (higher ranking or not), although he got much shit, and met two
friends that introduced him to his love for lifeHip Hop music. August
2003, he began in his last 6 months of the navy gaining his new name
while both producing and rapping. Lucky for Jay that he found his calling
when he did.as shortly after Jay was released from the Military, nearly completing his 4 years.
He then went back to New York for one year where he would record his
first solo cd "My Time Ta Shine" in a shed at his aunts house in the
Poconos. He then took his music along with him on his new endeavor,
being a clerk in Tower Records in Manhattan. He took all of his hard earned money and went to
Japan where he re-released his cd which went underground platinum
status and created his second cd "Pain and Pleasure" which went two
times underground platinummoving over 150,000 units throughout
Japan, Jay is finally releasing his third installment "3rd's A Charm" on
