Guerrilla Monsoon were a heavy metal outfit hailing from the areas of Cardiff and Bridgend. Spouting traditional grooves fused with new progressive metal themes, the band mixed up an aggressive, high octane, and energetic live show.



The band originally formed in 2005 and over the following months the group surpassed their own expectations, writing songs fueled with unique melancholy yet aggressive guitar leads, over colourful and poly-rhythmic patterns with political and social issues addressed through their lyrics.



A four-track debut EP was released in early 2007, and was highly praised in local newspapers and by fans alike. The band continued their success on the ‘Breaking Bands Tour’ at the end of August 2007, in association with Metal Hammer, Total Guitar and UKBLive. The track “Driven by Hatred” was later reviewed in Terrorizer magazines’ unsigned addition no.45. and was included as track 19 on the accompaniment compilation CD.
