Originally from EL PASO, TX (the breeding grounds of bands like At the Drive In, The Mars Volta, & Sparta) GUALBERTO (aka Wally Lozano) moved to Los Angeles in 2000.

After stints as a guitarist in various projects (Paleface, Man Adams, Passengers, Bright White Light) he gained notoriety as a hook maker, song molder, and all around wall of sound (studio nicknames: Wallace Sound & One Take Wally). As a result of the frustrations of having to deal with other people's schedules he took his career into his own hands. With money he made working in real estate GUALBERTO built a studio and set out to record an album. "I was starting to make a really good living, but playing music less and less. I was depressed. So, I quit my job and went for it."

Mixing dance sensibilities and hard rock aggression GUALBERTO's sound is hook laden, memorable, and exciting. "I wanted to make a fun record that you would want to dance to." Lyric topics range from intoxicated nights out in Hollywood to the corruption in our government.

The whole album: MADE IN AMERICA BY MEXICANS was WRITTEN, ARRANGED, ENGINEERED, PRODUCED, MIXED & PERFORMED by GUALBERTO. "Luckly I'm able to play all the instruments and work all the equipment so I didn't have to rely on anyone's schedule but my own." A rigorous recording schedule ensued.

GUALBERTO's full live band has wowed crowds in the Los Angeles area. He has recorded tracks for Paul Oakenfold, scored the music for commercials and films, and is building an arsenal of his own remixes. GUALBERTO is currently rocking parties and clubs as the DJ (he's also the DJ on the Chemical Bros. "Golden Path" video). With airplay from Los Angeles radio station Indie 103.1 the future for this artist is wide open. KEEP AN EYE OUT for GUALBERTO.
