Hey there,

This is the end.

It seems that the Evil Powers Of Rock'n'Roll had left us for good. That means that G-STRING has SPLITTED UP for good. No more Slap-Punk. We are sorry for that but we can't make it together anymore. We're not hoping and waiting for the same things together.

Cheers&beers, Matt.

WHAT ABOUT G-STRING:

Filthy and inspired slap-punk from some French sickos here. Tight as a wound clock, this trio takes the manic energy of classic metal and absorbs it into a fatalistic punk power bomb. The raw talent and frantic upright bass blasting through the melodic mess is what sets G-String apart from other rock n' roll hybrid acts, past and present. Fast and furious with some mid-tempo sing-a-longs would adequately describe the new full-length album from G-String. But mentioning the interesting twists and turns that make good songs become great songs is more noteworthy here. The new G-String record Bad Motherfuckers builds on the no-frills slap-punk they pioneered previously but this new album fully captures the range of their power with some production muscle that delivers a sonic slap-punk experience fit for psychos, punks and rockers everywhere. Some of you may recall an explosive psychobilly band from France (yes, France !) several years ago called Celtix. The same Matt who sang and challenged the bounds of the double bass in that band is now breaking new ground with G-String. J.C.'s guitar work in G-String is equally heavy on the pronounced riffing & wailing as well as the chord crunching. The fury and speed of drummer Laurent matches each lick and slap with amazing punctuation. Take a G-String BAD MOTHERFUCKERS test drive in our listen section. For fans of: Motorhead, Zeke, Nekromantix, Peter Pan Speedrock, Turbonegro, Rancid & Turbo AC's.

REVIEWS OF BAD MOTHERFUCKERS:

***Power Punkabilly played hard and fast. G-String prove themselves once more as one of the tightest and most powerful slap-bass Psychobilly-Punk bands around with this blistering second album. Review by: Raucous Records.

***G-String play some pretty aggresive psychobilly that transcends both the punk and metal subgenres of psychobilly.

"Suicide Rock is a fun romp that switch hits between brutal hardcore and straight up rockabilly. "Down With The Cops" is a mellow rocker that pulls out some ska riffage on the bridge, and "Loser" is a punk rock stompfest ala The Turbo ACs.

The vocals are punky, never venturing into the screamo realm that seems popular amongst today's psychos. The bass often starts off at a million mile-per-hour pace, but simmers down to a funky groove to let the listeners catch their breaths.

G-String is on the Psychobilly US label, but there is no doubting that this band is a bunch of rockers and this record is as fierce as its title. Skip it if you want more 'billy in your rock, but make it a must buy if you just want some balls out rock 'n' roll.

***If you think that France is full of pussy types, get a load of G-String. They tackle many styles, from psychobilly (Rape Your Soul), straight-down-your-throat punk (Suicide Rock), reggae-punk ala The Clash (Down With The Cops), and more. BAD MOTHERFUCKERS is an excellent, powerful, tough, and musical disc. The French trio could be good for your music collection, as well as your view on international relations. G-String is a super-talented band, and BAD MOTHERFUCKERS is the perfect title for the album. H. Barry Zimmerman
