GROUND LiFT

At the end of 2005, an eclectic group of artists, recognizing the need to reinvigorate the Cleveland Music Scene, fed up with the lethargy, pompous egos, and pious propaganda introduced Groundlift to the local landscape. GroundLift's members were crafted piece by piece, each chosen for their unique, dysfunctional talents. Out of this Primordial Artistic Mix, GroundLift emerged……a force to be reckoned with! twice nominated "best industrial band" in cleveland by free times magazene.



Headed by front man and creative cortex Brandon, known for his lifelong malcontent and notorious for attacking the status quo, guides the band towards his ultimate goal of being orginal and driven to "make people think for themselves and not just be puppets to the civilized propaganda."



The other band members include:



Josh BurnHart, known for his commanding presence, masterful guitar manipulations and uncomfortable low-end frequencies, hits the crowd, like a kick in the crotch;



Brewer, the autistic bass player, deported from Germany, joined GroundLift as the Chief Destruction Officer and Pyro Magnate; his Euro-centric background clearly defining his on-stage persona;



Only an eclectic mix of down syndrome, sweet hair and indescribable faces can describe what Christian unleashes on the drums, drowning the masses with his perverse percussions and rhythmic undulations, all wrapped up in “one flashy package"



Synthesizers, unnecessary smoke, chronic noise disturbances and perpetual wit are brought to you by Shawn, the OCD wizard of the digital realm.

Together, GroundLift’s vision is to rise above the mundane and pioneer a new age of Industrial-tech-synthesis. To create a new sound that crafts a series of harsh beats, electronic pollution, saturated guitars, pounding bass and intense vocals into an experience that is GroundLift; a digital experience that is devoid of the generic sound purported as “original” by others on the music scene today. Contrived in the anger of today’s disenfranchised youth, GroundLift’s spirit speaks to core of one’s Primal Being.
