This fall season marks the 10th Anniversary of Green River Ordinance as a band. To say it’s been an up-and-down journey or a very winding road with extreme highs and lows would be an understatement. From starting something in high school, to dropping out of college and buying a van (sweet Lambchop) to touring the country 15 times over, to signing with Capitol Records, to recently leaving Capitol Records – and everything in between, the constant in it all has been family, friends, and fans. The people – that is what we’ve learned make all this worth it. Playing for you, meeting you, talking with you and learning your stories – it somehow makes the overnight drives and time away from our families make a little more sense.

In 2009 and 2010, we have seen tastes of very sought after success: 2 Top 40 radio singles, songs on over 20 TV shows (So You Think You Can Dance, The Hills, The Young & Restless), 2 music videos on MTV and VH1, tours with American Idol winners David Cook & Kris Allen, Goo Goo Dolls, Collective Soul, Train, Lifehouse, and many others. Our Original Song “Rise Up” Featured on the AT&T Team USA 2010 Winter Olympics Soundtrack alongside Mariah Carey, 3 Doors Down, Train, Rascal Flatts. Their Capitol/Virgin Records debut album "Out of My Hands" and various singles have been featured on Zune, Walmart.com, AmazonMP3, itunes, Rhapsody, Napster – as Staff Picks, Song of the Day, What’s Hot, Track of the Week, and other promotions.

In August 2010, Green River Ordinance split ways with Capitol/Virgin Records and immediately took their career into their own hands. 2 weeks later, they launched the fundraising campaign "Ready.Set.GRO." to allow their fans to fund their next full length record in exchange for goods and services from GRO. The next day after that launch, the band went on a nationwide tour with Goo Goo Dolls and Switchfoot. The "Ready.Set.GRO" campaign ended on September 15, raising $41,016, crushing the band's original goal of $15,000. For more info, please visit www.readysetGRO.com.

On September 6, 2010, GRO released a 6-song stripped down record titled "The Morning Passengers EP - Acoustic Sessions." This EP offers a totally different side of the band's song-writing and arrangement and has been received very well, charting #3 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Be on the lookout for GRO's EP of fan favorite cover songs to be released in November. Look for Green River Ordinance coming to a city near you in the Fall.
