"This was filmed in 1991/92 for a jazz show on BET hosted by Ramsey Lewis. According to the producer, the upturned chairs were supposed to simulate the vibe of us having a band rehearsal. Instead, it looks like we were playing to an empty club. Nice. On the keys is Darrell Grant, a wonderful pianist and educator who was in my band at the time. The bassist and drummer, unfortunately I only met moments before the taping. We had a very brief rehearsal, and we hit. I'd say that they all came through."
