New plans for this year include the new vocal jazz ensemble "Indigold", the Sketch Comedy Troupe "Horsefeathers", the free showing of the Tibetan film "What Remains of Us", and the formation of the Western Slope Journal Project, as well as the second annual Images of Healing Art Show, the ongoing Donovan Tribute Concert and Middle Eastern Dance Troupe "Ladies of the Stars".



About Great Songs of the Sky



Great Songs of the Sky is a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization dedicated to Healing Through the Arts.



We originated as a tribute concert to the music of Donovan. Conceived and musically arranged by Lucy D'Mot, this concert was originally staged in August and September 2005 in a joint production by American River College in Sacramento CA and the Fair Oaks Theatre Festival.



This tribute concert includes 12-20 vocalists and a five piece band performing 35+ of Donovan's songs. In August of 2006, the show traveled to the International Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The concert theme loosely follows the four seasons of the year as they parallel the cycle of life. Rave reviews in both California and abroad.



Performances of the Donovan Tribute Concert are tentatively slated for mid autumn 2009.

Great Songs of the Sky is dedicated to original performing and other arts as it pertains to healing in both scientific and metaphysical realms, and especially as it relates to color, sound, movement and humor.
