Somewhere nearby Brussels, it’s the end of the year 2004.Ten years ago Kurt Cobain committed suicide by shooting himself through the head…

In the meanwhile we were teased with boys bands, singing crocodiles, sluts, guys who think they rule the world with their “bling bling”, fancy cars and dirty talk, and so on…

It all seemed hopeless and for a minute we were considering to follow his example.

“Where are my pills?”

Instead of blowing their brains against the wall, Bert and Gert decided to get the maximum volume out of an old Marshall Valvestate 8080.

The amp had a great life but he died pretty soon. Probably the result of the several kicks we gave it because the stupid thing just wouldn’t work!

With a bunch of crappy material they were looking for a bass player… some one who shared the same thoughts. Jasper was the perfect guy, and he had a giant amp!

We got to know each other a little better…

After several ideas Gert came up with the name Grannville.

We played a couple of shows, we fucked up daytona and fixed it again, we broke cymbals, guitars, changed amps, and had to deal with illness and injuries.

When we finally found the right material the Grannville sound was born. It’s a combination of wacky bass riffs, aggressive drumming and sick guitar playing from Gert. We’re sorry but we don’t know where he gets it…

Less will be more!

Now that the first demo Biofeedback is finally finished we are looking for shows.
