Gq Tha Teacha has been in music for about 21 years. He was influenced mostly by Bob Marley, Doug E. Fresh, Buffy the Human Beatbox and KRS-1.

He came to Chicago in 92, met Duro and Cassius D of the Zulu Nation, who put him on to tha hip-hop scene in Chicago. Ever since, everybody in Chicago basically knows him from rappin on tha CTA train but what people in Chicago don't know about him is he did shows with KRS-1, Soul Of Mischief, The Pharcyde, Camp Lo, Pete Rock, Little Brother, Slick Rick, Amel Larrieux, The Roots, Jeru tha Damaja, Large Professor of Main Source, Wu-Tang Clan, Gangstarr, DJ Kool Herc, Leon Rogers of Power92, Big Daddy Woo Woo aka Tornado (R.I.P), Malik Yusef, B. Cole, Illmind, The Pacifics, Spqher, Eulorhythmics, Mass Hysteria, Common, Akbar, Dead Prez, Iomosmarad, D-Ray, Ghostface Killah, Lupe Fiasco, Wise Intellegent of Poor Righteous Teachers, Lord Jamar of Brand Nubians, etc, etc, etc.



Just to let yall know he's also deep in Japanimation, video games mostly RPG games and fantasy games like Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Calibur 2 & 3, Final Fantasy games, Castlevania, Naruto, Bleach 4 tha PSP and Asian films in general. He's somewhat of a Japanimation & Asian films specialist, he also dabbled with martial arts as well and that sums up his life!!!
