R.I.P. GOOD LOOKING ASIAN TEENAGER



Good Looking Asian Teenager is now a dead thing, as of March 2008. Founded in early 2006, G.L.A.T. made roughly 47 songs, including 2 albums. The style was described by Rolling Stone Magazine as "pretty white" and by Entertainment Weekly as "afro-cuban post-novelty proto-reggae." Originally employing only programmed drums and acoustic guitar, G.L.A.T. slowly introduced a number of dorky concepts that ultimately led to a disheartening absence of identity.



Nevertheless, G.L.A.T. shall live on in various other forms in the future. Just as the cockroach can supposedly survive nuclear winter, the sole surviving band member Brett Hydeman has reportedly emerged from the bowels of a county prison, and plans on "approaching music from the angle of an action hero." What this means is unclear. Perhaps his future music will prove successful and enjoyable, but THE ODDS ARE AGAINST HIM.
